Directions

If you are Traveling by air from the UK, Malaga airport is the closest and easiest route in. From the airport you can either hire a car, or get a Taxi, to Competa.  Or if you prefer, we can arrange for a Competa Taxi to meet you at the airport, and bring you directly here.

There are free buses from Malaga Airport to Malaga bus station and there are three buses per day from the bus station in Málaga to Cómpeta.

Road directions From Malaga Airport: 

From the airport, Follow the A7 in the direction of Almeria/Motril, take exit 277 for Algarrobo, Caleta de Vélez and climb up through the mountains on the A-7206, passing through the villages of Algarrobo and Sayalonga. Cómpeta is the next village and is situated approximately 16km from the coast.

Just before the the village turn right at a hairpin bend in the direction signposted Torrox. After about 1km at a crossroad, there is a Gaudiesque view point, a large DIY store and a bar, Venta de Palma. Turn right at the corner with the bar and DIY store, past the entrance to Alberdini Rural Hotel (about 800m further on your right). After about another 800m you will see a sign for Casa san Andreas on your right by a telegraph pole. Turn sharp right here onto a track, continue along the track keeping to the right at a fork after about 300m where the track changes to concrete. Follow the track upwards (past 2 sharp bends) where the track changes again to dirt. Casa San Andreas is approx 300m further, on the Right.

From Almería/Nerja
Take exit 285 from the A7– Torrox, Cómpeta and follow the A-7207 for approximately 15km until you reach a crossroad with a DIY store and a bar, Venta de Palma on your left. Turn left here and follow this road past the entrance to Alberdini Rural Hotel (about 800m further on your right). After about another 800m you will see a sign for Casa san Andreas on your right by a telegraph pole.
